No, you don't. Feel free to take the file and print them at your preferred vendor.
What type of Photographer are you?
I like to blend in with the background, however, during portraits I like to step forward and explain to my colleagues things like how my lens works, how to pose, why it's so important to make a geomatric shape with your body and things like that. . . Basically I will say that you will receive a mini body language class :)
I believed with all my heart that a photo shoot is not just about posing, and that's why I try to make it a fun, interactive experience and about you and your surroundings, be prepared to see me doing weird things, like shaking the camera, lying on the ground... to take the scene from a creative perspective and demonstrate the pose rather than simply describing it. :)
Why do you charge so much?
I completely understand your question. I'm married so I planned a wedding too and I know the struggle.
Here is my explanation... to make it quick and simple, I bring around $10,000 in equipment to your wedding, plus +10 years of experience. You may not see me when I'm editing, but after your big day, I will spend around 10-40 hours editing.
You are getting all this for less than half of the price.
How do you charge travel fees?
I include at no cost 120 miles round trip from my home city Jacksonville NC. After that I charge $1.25 per mile.
